It's SO worth it!

Awakened by that all too familiar sound of the phone vibrating on the nightstand telling me that it’s time to get up, I reached over to silence it for just a few more minutes as I remembered the elderly man I just saw in my dream and then I heard the words, “It’s about Church Unity”. I spent a moment in prayer and decided that peeling myself out of bed was so worth it. The house was quiet and still as I tiptoed down the stairs. I continued to pray as I filled the kettle and heard the words repeated, “It’s about Church Unity”. I sat down in my favorite comfy chair with my Bible and a cup of tea. Still dark outside, I welcomed the Lord into my day. My heart began to worship and praise the goodness of the Lord and then I heard Him speak, “Joshua 7:13”. I had no idea what I was going to find. I opened my Bible and read, “Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, ‘Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are devoted things among you, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove them.” I couldn’t believe what I was reading. God has been speaking to me over the last two weeks about His church needing to be set apart. He has been calling us up. We are not intended to have church, prayer, and worship as another thing in our weekly schedule but we the church are to be in prayer and worship in all circumstances. He is calling us to look different from the world and be His church, His body, His. Yesterday morning, the Lord directed me to Joshua 3:5 “Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” There is a buzz in the air and God is preparing to do a great thing among us but it requires a response from us. We need to ready ourselves. We need to return to our first love and consecrate ourselves. We need to devote ourselves to the work of the Lord however that may look in our individual lives. Weather you are a stay-at-home mom, a career woman, or a full-time student, we are called to fully devote ourselves to the Lord. We are called to partner with Him so that His purposes will be fulfilled and His power will be released. He is calling us to Rise Up and step into all that He has intended us to walk in. My friends, it will cost EVERYTHING but it is so worth it. When we truly give God everything, He gives us more than we can possibly imagine. He desires to see his children living in His fullness of Joy. But I cannot do this on my own. This requires a movement. This requires unity in the Church. We need to move as one in setting ourselves apart from the world and partnering with Heaven to release the manifest power of God in our communities. Just like Joshua and Caleb had to wait forty years because the other spies did not have faith, we need the whole family to be full of faith and move forward in one accord so that we don’t miss this moment. Men and women of God, CONSECRATE yourselves and push into what the Lord is doing. Unite with His body and move forward as one. “For tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”
