Your testimony is past, present and future. It is a report of the good things that have happened in your life. When you tell others what God has done for you, you reinforce those blessings. Your testimony is also about the future. When you declare what God says about your future,  a powerful mandate is released.  You set in motion an agreement with God that releases his full blessings over your life.   This gift is yours alone;  it is your testimony.

The greatest example of this truth is found in the book of Revelation. Revelation is the testimony of Jesus. (Rev.1:1,2) His testimony includes his past victory on the cross, (Rev.5:5,6) his present power and authority, (Rev.1:12-17) and his future victory. Two amazing things will happen, first, he defeats the Devil and second, he gives the full blessings of God to the Church and Israel. That is his testimony. Jesus proclaims it in a powerful declaration. He makes it public. The declaration of his future testimony is the book of Revelation. “I, John, was on the Island of Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

God the Father showed Jesus his future testimony (Rev.1:1). Jesus proclaimed it with the help of an angel. John wrote it down for the world to see.

Have you discovered your personal book of Revelation? What has God told you about your future testimony? Jesus testimony was written on a scroll that was held in the hand of God Almighty. (Rev.5:1) John was shown his personal testimony on a little scroll held in the hand of an angel. (Rev.10:1,2) A voice from heaven told John to take the scroll and the angel said to eat it. John said,

Then I took the little scroll out of the angel’s hand and ate it. And he said to me, ‘You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues and kings.’” (Rev.10:10,11)

John was given his personal book of Revelation. It was his marching orders, his future testimony, his destiny. He began to own it, proclaim it and fulfill it. Spirit-led Christians know this verse, They overcame the Devil by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” (Rev.12:11)

Nothing on earth is more powerful than the blood of the Lamb (Jesus). With his blood, Jesus paid for sin and saved us from Satan and hell. I have seen multitudes of people set free from the torment of sin and demonic enslavement by the power of Jesus’ blood.

Something else, however, is required to get the full victory over Satan. It is the word of your testimony. Full blessings come when you partner with Jesus.  He gives his blood – you must proclaim your future testimony. Notice, it is not just the hope, or thought, but the word of your testimony that carries power. It must be spoken. That is your agreement with God for victory over your life.

Your God given testimony is your true identity, your destiny and your calling. It contains marching orders and blessings.  Once you find it, by God’s grace, you complete it.  It takes your entire life to finish your testimony. The two witnesses of Revelation 11 had to complete their testimony. We read, “When they finished their testimony,… they ascended to heaven.” (Rev.11:7,12)

A negative testimony contains worry, doubt, sarcasm, criticism, demonic lies, and human reasons. It stops the flow of God’s blessings and plummets a soul into despair. It produces hopelessness, godlessness, and ruin. A negative testimony is God’s enemy, even when it comes from a born again Christian. Negative words cause the life experience of many saints to be like stagnant waters instead of a river of life. Time on earth goes by too quickly and God’s testimony for our lives must be activated. We need to discover it, confess it and fulfill our destiny.

Many saints need their minds and mouths washed with heaven’s soap. (Malachi 3:2,3) Watch what you say about yourself and your family. Do not speak negative words over your life. Even what you say in jest is important. There is a great authority in your words. (Pr.18:21) Your words carry the power of life and death. When you speak your testimony you partner with God and begin to fulfill your destiny.

The place to begin finding your testimony is the Bible. Read the words of scripture that declare God’s victory for his people.

Believe them for yourself and speak them over your life and over your family. You can do this with proclamation prayers or as a    prophetic declaration, as the Holy Spirit leads. Verses like, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” (Ph’p 4:13) or “My grace is sufficient for you,” (2Cor. 12:9) will rock the very foundations of demonic

demise against us.

Let God’s word be a part of your future testimony. As you declare the blessings of the scriptures, the Holy Spirit will begin to show you your personal testimony. He will give specific prophetic words to you. They will come in dreams, personal revelations and from the pages of scripture.

Join yourself to Christians who believe in the supernatural and in God’s time, they will pray over you, releasing more of God’s revelation and blessings over you. They will prophesy over you and declare God’s purpose for your life. Test every word by asking God to confirm them to you. Do not own a word that someone gives you until you know for certain that it is from God. Be careful not to grasp at a word because it pleases you. The Lord has great blessings for you and you do not have to strive after them.

Whether they come from dreams, the scriptures or through other people, once you are sure you have heard from God begin to declare those words over your life. Thank him for your future testimony naming the things that he has said belong to you; be specific. Declare your testimony often and watch God’s victory rise.

As a disciple, the Lord will bring adjustments to your life and your obedience to him is crucial. After the word of your testimony is spoken you will be required to complete the testimony. The Lord will be with you to perform his purpose and confirm his word in you.  You will do great things.

Your past testimony includes the blessings of your heritage and your experiences. Testimonies of today include the blessings and provisions that you presently have, the momentum of God’s grace that is carrying you, and the path you are presently walking. Your testimony for tomorrow can only be seen by revelation. It includes prophetic words that are not yet fulfilled, the word of faith in your heart, the unknown details of your destiny. It is found in the sure knowledge of God’s love and Fatherhood over you.

All 3 tenses of your testimony need to be taken from the place of thought and faith and spoken clearly so you may reap God’s best for your life. Your past, present and future testimony; belong to you. Do not let them fall to the ground. It is time. Proclaim the word of your testimony.
